For Erin Dornbos, the practice of law is a second career. She spent the early years of her professional life fostering health and wellness in the US and abroad, including partnering with people and programs in Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe on behalf of an international NGO. Her desire to help others in a more specialized way informed her decision to pursue a degree in law—a decision partly inspired by her husband’s pursuit of a second career in law (she started law school as soon as he wrapped up). Erin is a labor law attorney who specializes in representing labor unions in contract negotiations, arbitrations, and NLRB proceedings. Diligence and empathy are at the heart of her work. Erin is an active supporter of international refugee and relief organizations. She and her husband have two young children and love living, boating, and hiking along the lakeshore and adventuring to new places. World travel aside, Erin’s roots are firmly planted in the soil—she grew up on a family farm and enjoys sharing the agrarian traditions and community she grew up with, with her children.
