Edward M. ("Ned") Smith
In Memoriam, March 29, 1939 to November 9, 2017
Throughout his 50+ year career, Ned was a leading legal advocate for fair labor practices in Michigan. An author, mediator, and court evaluator, Ned was one of three attorneys appointed by the governor to represent workers on the first Workers Compensation Qualifications Advisory Committee. He was a trusted colleague and a tireless advocate for working people and their families—both in his personal and professional lives. We miss him greatly.
